An extravaganza for all things kooky and cool, some of WA’s best established and upcoming artistic gems are set to be let out of their cages.

Alleyways once of nonchalance existence will lead to unknown lands, secret doorways to alternate universes, and bins and walls will be smothered to the sky with a jaw-dropping vibrancy.

Art collectives and individuals alike unite; be inspired, excited and joyous as a team of local creatives join to bottle and celebrate the undeniable energy present on one of Perth’s favourite strips.

About the committee
The 2011 Beaufort Street Festival Arts Committee is bubbling with an innovative and inspiring group of local artists and creatives who have united and pooled together to develop the official arts program.

The committee consists of the talented Brody MacLeod, Melanie Price, Steven Buckles, Adam Cicchini, Jeff Hansen, Marisa Garreffa and Kate Caine.

Between these creative minds, individual arts applications have been selected and developed to form the backbone of the official arts program, representing various facets of Beaufort Street’s personality and energy.

The Beaufort Street Festival is bigger and better than ever with a MUSIC program reflecting Perth’s independent music scene; ART showcasing local and new innovative talent; FOOD representing the best of Beaufort Street’s café, bar and restaurant scene; and FASHION from Beaufort Street’s quirky and off-beat boutiques.

Driven by the community and local businesses, the Festival’s strong creative focus and art direction reflects the unique style of Beaufort Street. Under the guidance of Dave Cutbush - Festival Director, the Beaufort Street Network has once again created a program of events that draws upon WA’s local talent and highlights the great sense of community in the area.
